We all know them. Some may be in our families or inner circle.  Actually some may be us. They are the ones with an attitude that is absolutely toxic and will prevent themselves from being successful.

In order to be the best you, you can be, and have a productive and meaningful life, we must consider our mindset. Many times, we sabotage our chances of achieving success because of simply the way we think. Let’s be clear.  ATTITUDES MATTER.

Your mindset dictates your beliefs, which determines your behaviors. The reality is that the sooner we understand this, the sooner we can change our habits and start experiencing success and prosperity.

Here are “Four attitudes that will keep you from success in all areas of your life”…

“It’s Takes Too Much Work”

Part of the problem today is that we have forgotten that it takes hard work to get somewhere.  Many of us want a shortcut.  Unfortunately, shortcuts are short term.

This mindset will sabotage your potential and prevent you from moving forward.  The truth is you’ll never achieve anything great without hard work. This attitude separates the successful from the regretful.

“No matter what it takes,” and “never quit” ...people are afraid of these statements.  But, don’t misunderstand its reality. Laziness and procrastination are detrimental to not only your success but your mental and physical health as well.

“It’s Just Not for Me”

My question is, “Did they try at all? Did they only try for a short time?  Did they give it an all out effort? Success comes when you’ve had several breaking points and several failures.

If you believe something is not for you, then ask yourself a few questions… am I passionate about this? Do I want this, and if so, why?

Instead of saying, “not for me,” maybe one should say, “just one more time, one more try, …one more.”

If you can develop mental strength enough to not give up, then you can very likely achieve what you thought may have been impossible. The mind is the creator of your reality.

 Being Negative

Remember these two principles, given by someone else. “You are what you are because of what goes into your mind. You change what you are by changing what goes into your mind.”

Also, “If you keep on doing what you always done, you will keep on getting what you’ve always got.”

If you’re a negative person, then chances are you seldom believe any good can come from your efforts in life. Someone who is always pessimistic will see the glass “half empty” rather than “half full”. Stop it with the negativity and decide to change your perception of life.

Try this… if a negative thought comes into your mind, immediately replace it with a positive one. Write it down as a reminder and take it with you regardless of what you’re doing and where you are. This will create good necessary habits for getting rid of the negativity.

“It Won’t Happen for Me”

This is a big reason why people quit before they even start. You may see the success of someone and feel that it’s so out of reach. But we’ll let you in on a little secret… everyone starts off life knowing little to nothing about anything. Learning is the key word here.

Everyone must learn, in order to achieve any type of success in life, plain and simple!

Many people feel they deserve instant knowledge or instant success. Unfortunately, you’ll be severely disappointed to know that it doesn’t work this way. It’s our responsibility to take the initiative to educate ourselves and anything we plan on succeeding with.

Make the decision today to change the way your mind operates. You have to control it otherwise it will control you. As a result, you’ll limit yourself and never reach your full potential.

Change your mindset and you change yourself and your life! Take control yand find success in your life from learning the necessary changes you must make in life.

“If you change what you are doing, then you will change the outcome.” Believe it!
